Dr. Alaa Arafa is the Chairman of Ready Made Garments Export Council (RMGEC), Co-Chairman of Egyptian Italian Business Council (EIBC), a board member of Citadel Capital and a board member of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies. Dr. Alaa was Chairman of the Egyptian Garments Exporters Association, Vice Chairman of the negotiation team for the Egyptian-Israeli-USA Industrial Zones Agreement (QIZ) and a founder and a board member of Commercial International Investment Company, a leading investment bank. He was also a founder and board member of Expolink, an exporters association, the government’s consultant on economic reform. Dr. Alaa Arafa is the son of Mr. Ahmed Arafa, founder of the original Arafa business.
