Mr. Selim, brings on board a wealth of experience of almost 15 years in the financial sector that has spanned corporate banking, research and brokerage, debt restructures and investment banking both at local institutions and multinationals.
Mr. Selim initiated his career by joining the Commercial International Bank (CIB), were he held varios positions last of which he headed the corporate finance team. By January 2003, Mr. Selim joined Barclays Bank Egypt as Head of its newly established Business Support Division first for Egypt and later for the whole of Barclays’ East Africa Operations. Prior to his departure from Barclays, Mr. Selim established and headed a new Investment Banking Division and Structured Credit. In 2006 he joined Delta Rasmala where he held a position of Managing Director of Delta Rasmala Investments. Ahmed has a B. Commerce in Accounting & Finance from the University of New South Wales in Australia & an MBA from Georgia State University, USA. He joined Arafa in 2009 and was appointed to the Board in 2009.
