Arafa Holding is a market driven entity that manufactures in response to customers demand. It has a vertically integrated business model to cover all phases of apparel manufacturing and distribution. The company is divided into three distinct segments, each with a specific role in the production of apparel. The first segment, textiles, is dedicated to the first phase of garment making, with two companies, Whitehead Spinning and Goldentex. These two companies produce the yarn and fabric used in the manufacturing process. Apparel and Tailoring is the second segment and includes Swiss Garments, Egypt Tailoring Company, Middle East Tailoring Company and Concrete Manufacturing. This segment manufactures apparel, for some of the most renowned international brand names in fashion.
Arafa operates four retail subsidiaries, Concrete, Euromed, Querini and BMB. Arafa’s involvement in each stage of production guarantees the highest quality for every garment that is produced and sold. Prior to 2005, the Group operated through a number of separate but affiliated companies. In 2005, the principal shareholders made a strategic decision to consolidate the holdings of the Group’s various textile and garment manufacturing and retail companies into a vertically integrated enterprise under a single holding company Al Arafa for Investment and Consultancies and three subsidiaries: Al Arafa for Investment in Marketing and Distributing Garments, Al Arafa for Investment in Garment Manufacturing and Al Arafa for Investment in Textile Manufacturing. Al Arafa for Investment and Consultancies is the holding company of the Group. The headquarters are located in the Free Zone Area in Nasr City, Cairo. The head office coordinates a number of activities throughout the Group, including finance, accounting and audit, business development, sales, human resources and administration. Arafa Holding prides itself with a wide array of companies, each fulfilling a specified function in the manufacturing stages of fabrics and apparel.
